Here Come The Editors

"You can't write that!"
"Yes I can, I just did"
"Let me edit it"
"Sure, go ahead. However if you change the intent or emotions or something that is evoked we WILL have to discuss your editing"
"I'm a school teacher, I know what I am doing." (just how many school teachers do I actually I know...? there will be a survey coming your way soon) )

"That's what worries me".or
(Aghast) "Don't you have a spell checker?"
"Yes, of course I do!" (what do they think I am on a pre windows 186?)
(Suspicious) "Do you use it?"
(Indignation) "All the time!"
(Puzzled) "What are all these mistakes then?"
(Explanatory) "Oh those!! They are typos, my mind goes faster then my fingers and also I have a monitor that is creative in what it lets me see, it flashes pink and strobes green...you know it's the one my son found on the side of the road. Hey, it fitted my price range."
(Justification) "You will never be a writer if you keep this up"
(Relief) "Sure I will, and you will become a great editor!"

and so it goes...and is still going.
