The Genesis

It was back in January 2006 - mid month I think, in yet another wilderness time of my life; I sat down here and began to write.

I wrote what I saw in my head..in essence the movie playing there. I wrote of the people I saw - I didn't immeadiatly know all their names,however a search on babynames.com soon gave me what I needed, what some of them had hidden from me -

I typed the words they said; their conversations.
I wrote of the scenary around them and the times they lived in....
I wrote and wrote and wrote...

I remember being excited when I reached 10,000 words! A first ever.

I kept writing until I had approx 12,000 words. Then, and only then did I think 'maybe I need to open a new file'.

I had made no chapter divisions and I had 32 pages of continous 12pt Times New Roman font in single spacing.

Thus I went to the other extreme and wrote scenes only, with nothing linking them. I filed them under the relevent years of the story in the new Folder I had created.

I kept on writing.
