To Read or not to read...

I don't think it is a question of shall I read or shall I not, but rather what I will read while I am thus engaged in the task of writing.

A few weeks ago I read one line from 'March' this years Pulitzer Prize winning book and decided that I ought not to continue for now. It is set during the civil war and I did not want to accidentially retain any words or rhythm from the work

I have ordered 'Voss' by Patrick White, as given all the recent controversy I feel this is a book I ought to read, or maybe reread.

They have come to know me well at the library as through these weeks of illness, and also from the ease of use, I select and order books, dvds, music cds etc on line. Then I simply scooter over to collect them when the emails arrive telling me my requests are in. No one coughs on me. I am removed, for the most part, from the winter germs of others.
